Hi Kids!

Do you know what it means to be saved?  By now I'm sure you have heard about a great place called Heaven.  This is where our Lord Jesus Christ lives.  He is our lord because of what he has done for us.  Do you know what he did for you?

  Let me tell you a little story.  Jesus lived 2000 years ago, when he was born he knew he was going to die.  The whole purpose of his life was to die for us.  You see Heaven is a perfect place, the streets are lined with gold, there is no pain, no sin, no mean people, only happiness.  We live here on earth in sin (don't worry there is nothing you and I can do not to be a sinner) where there is alot of sin, pain and suffering, bad and mean people.  Jesus loves you so much that he came down from Heaven to live physically on earth in sin, and died on the cross so we could be saved.  With out him doing this for us there would be no way we could get to Heaven.  Heaven clean and pure of sin, God don't want any sin coming in.  Now don't think that because we are sinners and live here on earth in sin that we can't go to heaven.  Think of it this way, when you have your nice clothes on, you don't want to go play outside in the mud and get them dirty do you?.   Well you see Heaven is kind of like that.  This is where my story picks up again, Jesus came down from Heaven for one purpose, to die for you and me.  The key to this is, Jesus agreed to die for us!  That is alot of love, more that we can really understand.

  Do you want to know how to become saved?   There are a few things you need to do. 

#1    You have to belive that the Holy Bible is the word of God. 

#2    You have to believe that you are a sinner.  There is nothing you or anyone can do about this.

#3    You have to believe that Jesus Christ was born, Lived, Died and was Resurected so we can go to heaven.

Here are a few bible verses that will support what I am telling you;

Matthew 1 verses 20 and 21

Romans 10 verse 9

Romans 10 verse 13

Ephesians 2 verse 8 through 11 

If you truly understand and accept this then Jesus will save you.  Pray to the lord and ask him to come into your life, ask him to save you and to help you stay away from sin but most of all thank him for dying for you. Tell your parents about what you just read and ask them to pray with you.
